A sore throat can be just a minor irritation—or a sign of something more serious like strep throat. At Primary Care of Texas, we offer fast, accurate strep testing so you can feel better and avoid complications.
If your sore throat is accompanied by these symptoms, you may have strep:
Strep throat is caused by a bacterial infection (Group A Streptococcus). Left untreated, it can lead to serious complications like rheumatic fever or kidney problems. With rapid strep tests, we can confirm your diagnosis within minutes—right in our office.
